Product Description

Pharmacological actions:
Anti-anemia drugs.  Iron is a major component of hemoglobin and myoglobin.  Hemoglobin is the main oxygen carrier in red blood cells.  Myoglobin is the part of muscle cells that stores oxygen for use during muscle movement.  Most of the enzymes involved in the carboxylic cycle contain iron, or Chemicalbook works only in the presence of iron.  Therefore, after active supplementation of iron supplements for iron deficiency patients, in addition to accelerated hemoglobin synthesis, symptoms related to tissue iron deficiency and decreased iron-containing enzyme activity, such as growth retarded, abnormal movement, physical deficiency, changes in mucosal tissues and skin and nail lesions, can also be gradually corrected. 
Indications
Iron Dextran injection is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiencies in cattle, sheep, goats.
Active ingredients:

Dosage and administration:
By intramuscular injections

Prevention:
Calf: 3 to 4 ml at birth 
Lamb, kid: 1 to 2 ml per 10kg body weight
piglets: 1 to 2 ml, the third day after birth
Treatment: a second injection should be given 8 days 
after the first one.
Contra-indications, warnings:
Not for use in calves for veal production
Side effects:
Colored skin might occur on injection site
