Enrofloxacin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal agent for fluoroquinolone animals. For Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Brucella, Pasteurella, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Erysipelas, Proteus, Serratia marcescens, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Porter's sepsis Bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, etc., have good effects, but have weak effects on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Streptococcus, and weak effects on anaerobic bacteria. It has obvious antibacterial effect on sensitive bacteria. The antibacterial action mechanism of this product is to inhibit bacterial DNA gyrase and interfere with bacterial DNA replication, transcription and repair and recombination. The bacteria cannot grow and reproduce normally and die.
10% Enrofloxacin Injection is quickly and completely absorbed by intramuscular injection. The bioavailability of this product is 91.9% for pigs and 82% for dairy cows. It is widely distributed in animals and can enter tissues well. Except for cerebrospinal fluid, the drug concentration in almost all tissues is higher than that in plasma. Liver metabolism is mainly to remove the ethyl group of the 7-piperazine ring to produce ciprofloxacin, followed by oxidation and glucuronic acid binding. It is mainly excreted through the kidneys (through renal tubular secretion and glomerular filtration), and 15%~50% is excreted in the urine in its original form. The elimination half-life varies greatly among different species of animals and different administration routes. The elimination half-life after intramuscular injection is 5.9 hours for cows, 9.9 hours for horses, 1.5 to 4.5 hours for sheep, and 4.6 hours for pigs.
(1) 10% Enrofloxacin injection is used in combination with aminoglycosides or broad-spectrum penicillin, which has a synergistic effect.
(2) Heavy metal ions such as Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe3+ and Al3+ can chelate with this product and affect absorption.
(3) When combined with theophylline and caffeine, it can reduce the plasma protein binding rate, abnormally increase the concentration of theophylline and caffeine in the blood, and even cause symptoms of theophylline poisoning.
(4) This product has the effect of inhibiting liver drug enzymes, which can reduce the clearance rate of drugs mainly metabolized in the liver and increase the blood drug concentration.
Fluoroquinolone antibacterial drugs. Used for bacterial diseases and mycoplasma infections in livestock and poultry
Intramuscular injection: one dose, per 1kg body weight, 0.025ml for cattle, sheep, and pigs; 0.025~0.05ml for dogs, cats, and rabbits. Use 1 to 2 times a day for 2 to 3 days.
(1) Degeneration of cartilage in young animals, affecting bone development and causing claudication and pain.
(2) Reactions of the digestive system include vomiting, loss of appetite, and diarrhea.
(3) Skin reactions include erythema, itching, urticaria and photosensitivity.
(4) Allergic reactions, ataxia, and seizures are occasionally seen in dogs and cats.
