Pharmacological action
helminthagogue. Fenbendazole has broad-spectrum anthelmintic effect on nematode, tapeworm and fluke and no effect on blood flukes. The mechanism of action of Fenbendazole is mainly by binding with microtubulin in sensitive polypide, to prevent its multimerization with α-microtubulin to form microtubule, thus to influence mitosis, protein device and energy metabolism etc reproduction procedure of polypide cells. After oral administration, only a few will be absorbed. It is absorbed slowly in ruminant and a litter quick in monogastric animal. After oral administration to dog, plasma concentration peak time is 24 h; to sheep, it is 2~3 days. Fenbendazole will metabolize to sulfoxide (oxfendazole with activity) and sulphone after entering in body. In cattle, sheep and pig, 44%~50% of Fenbendazole will be excreted along with excrement in the original shape, and only less than 1% is excreted along with urine.

Dosage and administration
Calculated with Fenbendazole. Oral solution: single dose:
Horse, cattle, sheep and pig: 5~7.5mg/kg body weight;
Dog, cat: 5~50mg/body weight;
Poultry: 10~50mg/body weight.
Withdrawal period
Cattle, sheep: 14 days;
Pig: 3 days;
Milk: 7 days;
Poultry: 28 days.
Side effects
Dogs and cats show emesis occasionally by oral administration.
Storage
Store in the place below 30ºC.
