Function:  Antibiotic medicines, for treating rickettsial diseases, brucellosis, mycoplasma pneumonia, and chlamydia; it can also be used for treating gram-positive cocci and gram-negative bacteria caused infections.

Oxytetracycline HCl is a tetracycline that can be used to treat rickettsial diseases, including epidemic typhus, endemic typhus, Rocky Mountain fever, scrub typhus and Q fever, mycoplasma and chlamydia infections.
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride inhibits protein synthesis by preventing aminoacyl-TrNA binding to the 30S subunit. Antimicrobial spectrum: Gram-negative and positive bacteria. Patterns of resistance: loss of activity, ribosome protection, tetracycline inactivation.
 

Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride is an antibiotic in the tetracycline family. Oxytetracycline hydrochloride strongly inhibits gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride is a protein synthesis inhibitor that prevents aminoacil-TrNA from binding to complex ribosomal RNA. Oxytetracycline hydrochloride also has anti-HSV-1 activity.
