Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of amide alcohol and a bacteriostatic agent. It acts by binding to the 50S subunit of the ribosome to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial protein. It has strong antibacterial activity against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae are highly sensitive to florfenicol. The antibacterial activity of florfenicol against many microorganisms in vitro is similar to or stronger than that of thiamphenicol. Some bacteria that are resistant to amide alcohols due to acetylation, such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, may still be resistant to fluorobenzene. Nico is sensitive. It is mainly used for bacterial diseases of pigs, chickens and fish caused by sensitive bacteria, such as respiratory diseases of cattle and pigs caused by Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Salmonella caused by typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever, chicken cholera, chicken pullorum, colibacillosis, etc.; fish bacterial sepsis caused by fish pasteurella, vibrio, Staphylococcus aureus, hydrophila, enteritidis, etc. Enteritis, red skin disease, etc.
Florfenicol is quickly absorbed by oral administration, and the therapeutic concentration can be reached in the blood after about 1 hour, and the peak blood concentration can be reached within 1 to 3 hours. The bioavailability is over 80%. Florfenicol is widely distributed in animals and can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. It is mainly excreted in urine in its original form, and a small amount is excreted in feces.
Amidol antibiotics. For Pasteurella and E. coli infections.
Intramuscular injection: a single dose, 0.067 ml for chickens and 0.05 ~ 0.067 ml for pigs per 1 kg body weight. Every 48 hours for 2 doses. Fish 0.0017 ~ 0.0034ml, qd.
1.30% Florfenicol injection has certain immunosuppressive effect when used at doses higher than the recommended dose.
2. It has embryotoxicity and should be used with caution in livestock during pregnancy and lactation.
1. It is contraindicated in laying hens during the laying period.
2. It is contraindicated during the vaccination period or in animals with severely compromised immune function.
3. Appropriate dose reduction or prolongation of the dosing interval is required in affected animals with renal insufficiency.
