FunctionThe antibacterial spectrum and mechanism of procaine penicillin are the same as penicillin. It mainly acts on moderate and mild infections caused by gram-positive cocci that are sensitive to penicillin. Penicillin has good antibacterial activity against Streptococcus hemolyticus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Staphylococcus that does not produce penicillinase. Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Corynebacterium diphtheria, Bacillus anthracis, Actinomyces bovis, Streptobacter candida, Listeria, Leptospira and Treponema pallidum are sensitive to this product. This product also has antibacterial activity against Haemophilus influenzae and Bordetella pertussis. This product has a good antibacterial effect on anaerobic bacteria such as Clostridium, Peptostreptococcus and Bacteroides melanogaster, but has a poor antibacterial effect on Bacteroides fragilis. Penicillin plays a bactericidal effect by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls.Dihydrostreptomycin is suitable for the treatment of infections caused by a variety of Gram-negative bacteria, such antibiotics have the advantages of strong bactericidal activity, low toxicity, wide indications and good clinical efficacy.

Dosage and AdministrationIntramuscular administration:1 ml per 25kg, Live weight per day, for 3 to 4 days; In severe cases, this dosage may be doubled

Drug interactions
1. It has a synergistic effect when combined with penicillins or cephalosporins.
2. The antibacterial effect of this class of drugs is enhanced in alkaline environment, and the combination of alkaline drugs (such as sodium bicarbonate, aminophylline, etc.) can enhance the antibacterial effect, but the toxicity is also correspondingly enhanced. When the pH value exceeds 8.4, the antibacterial effect is weakened.
3.Cations such as Ca, Mg2+, Nat, NH and K can inhibit the antibacterial activity of this class of drugs.
4.Combination with cephalosporin, dextran, potent diuretics (such as furosemide, etc.), erythromycin, etc., can enhance the ototoxicity of this class of drugs.
5.Skeletal muscle relaxants (such as succinylcholine chloride, etc.) or drugs with such effects can strengthen the neuromuscular resistance of this class of drugs.
